Fair Questions

What happens after I place my order?

First, we review every order by hand — measurements, fabric, and details all get a careful look. Then your suit goes to our tailor to be cut and sewn just for you (about 3–4 weeks). When it's ready, we ship it to your door. If anything needs tweaking once it arrives, our fit promise has you covered.

How does a custom suit work online?

Pick a fabric, enter your measurements using our extremely patient guide, pay in full. We cut your suit and ship it. That's genuinely the whole thing.

How long does it take?

About 3–4 weeks from order to doorstep. Wedding? Give us 6–8 weeks. Your future self will thank you.

What if it doesn't fit perfectly?

Small tweaks happen with custom clothing — bodies vary, and that's completely normal. If something's off, tell us. Reasonable alterations are on us.

Why do I pay in full upfront?

Your suit is cut specifically for you — it can't go on the rack for someone else. One payment, one price, done. No invoices following you around.

Can I change my fabric or measurements after ordering?

Message us immediately. If we haven't cut yet, usually yes. Once the scissors come out, it's locked in.

Do you do rush orders?

Sometimes — depends on the tailor's queue. Ask us and we'll give it to you straight.

What's the difference between The James and a store-bought suit?

Store suits are made for an average body that doesn't exist. Yours is cut for your body, in fabric you chose. Put both on and the difference isn't subtle.

How do groomsmen orders work?

The groom picks the fabric; groomsmen order their own in that fabric with their own measurements. Everyone pays their own way, everything lands in time. Details on the Groomsmen page.
